INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF LONDON IN QATAR - AN OUTSTANDING SCHOOL!

 

 

The International School of London in Qatar opened its doors to students on 7th September 2008 as part of the intitiative by the Supreme Education Council to attract "Outstanding Schools" from around the world to open branch campuses in Qatar.

 

Based in North Duhail, the school will follow the ISL model which has successfully served the educational needs of the international community in London and promoted the values of international mindedness and multicultural understanding over a period of 35 years.

Spanish in Secondary

Next year, 2009-10, we will begin classes in Spanish B (as an additional language). This will be available in Years 7-10. It will be timetabled at the same time as Mother Tongue classes, and will therefore be available in addition to French for students not taking their Mother Tongue.

Summer Holiday Opening Times

During the summer holidays the school office will be open from 

8am - 12 noon Sunday to Thursday except for the following dates:

Finance Office Closed 17 - 21 July

Admissions Office Closed 17 - 21 July

 

 

Extension of School Day - Primary

Next year we propose to extend the school day for Primary students (classes EC2 to Year 6) to 2 pm. This will allow us more time to deliver the curriculum, and brings the end of the school day in line with Secondary. EC1 will still end at 12 noon, and all classes will end at 12 noon on Tuesdays.

 

During Ramadan, classes will begin at 8 am and end at 12:50.

  • Secondary Design Technology Teacher (I.C.T experience desirable). 
  • Part-time Norwegian Teacher, to teach Mother Tongue to individuals or small groups
  • Year 3 Primary Classroom Teacher (following the IB Curriculum)
  • Classroom Assistants to support student learning and assist teachers with adminstrative work

 

 


Transportation Service  (Exclusively for ISLQ)
