Admission

Prior to an application, parents are welcome to visit us and discuss their children’s schooling needs. This can be done by telephoning or e-mailing the Admissions Office to arrange a convenient date and time. Most students join the International School of London in Qatar in September, but we are happy to admit students throughout the year provided that we have places available.

The Admissions process at ISLQ is designed to be as efficient and positive as possible for all applying students. All applicants who are admitted to ISLQ are expected to function within the regular classroom. ISLQ will only admit those students whose needs can be met by the educational and pastoral services the school provides. The Admissions Office may send a confidential Student Evaluation form requesting additional information to the student’s current or previous school.

Before submitting an application to ISLQ you are advised to read the Admissions Booklet (found at the end of this page) as it contains all the necessary practical information as well as the terms and conditions of admissions at the International School of London in Qatar.

Class Placement

Students will be placed in their age appropriate year group based on their age on 1st September. In the case of a dispute over age appropriate placement the child will be placed in the age appropriate class until thorough academic and social assessments are carried out by the class teacher. This will take place during the first two weeks of the student’s commencement at ISLQ and a report with a final placement decision will be communicated to parents.
